what a magnificent closing ceremony by china!! it is really of world standard.. i know there will be people talking about china just want to impress the whole world.. but isnt it this case? please think abt it.. any country who get to host olympics will definitely want to impress the whole world.. want to show the world what they are made of.. when it comes to spore youth olympics 2010, you can be sure spore will go all out to impress the world with our technology, facilities, people and our country.. we would want the world to know that a small country like us has the ability to host such big events too.. so stop those talks about china just trying to impress the world when this is what everyone is doing.. this is not just about china.. after watching this closing ceremony, i am really looking forward to 2012 london olympics.. but first, i am super looking forward to our own 2010 youth olympics.. we are the first country hosting it and i am sure we are going to do a good job and impress everyone.. haha.. so proud of my country.. with no more olympics competition to watch during weekends, i guess what filling up the gap will be the super boring school work.. i have a lot of things to do.. everything is piling up already.. lectures, tutorials, projects plus the stress i am giving myself.. haha.. so worried that i cant finish my part for the project on time.. meeting every friday did help to discipline myself to do the work needed for the project.. but sometimes i just cant find free time to do it.. and so everytime leave to thur night to do.. i dont like last minute stuff although i did quite a lot of it.. hai.. sian ar.. when can i enjoy my life? this isnt enjoyment.. all the work just keep coming despite the sign i have put 'STOP'.. hai.. guess just need to burn more midnight oil to catch up le.. hai.. sian ar.. |

as i have mentioned in the previous post, i will post the photos of the sakae lunch soon.. here is it.. the following photo is the funniest photo i have ever seen.. haha.. this is super funny.. best entertainment.. haha.. there are some more photos but i will only post this one here.. this is 经典.. hahaha.. so start my summary about the olympics.. ytd, watched china vs. south africa men's hockey.. not much comments about it.. the match i watched during lunch is women's handball korea vs. hungary.. this is a bronze medal match.. it is really entertaining.. their score is so near.. it is only until 2 players from hungary got suspended for 2 mins then the koreans increased the lead over hungary to 5 points.. and there is only around 5 mins left.. although hungary did try to decrease the difference but it is too difficult for them.. some at the bench alr started crying.. hai.. quite sad actually.. imagine you train for 4 yrs to enter olympics to get the medal and you lose at the last minute.. actually you wont know who is winning.. cuz the score is really very near.. the suspension that hungary got really costs them the bronze medal.. after winning the match, the koreans cried over their win while hungary cried over their loss.. hai.. this is competition.. besides the two matches above, i also watched women's volleyball gold medal match usa vs. brazil.. and guess who win? BRAZIL!! haha.. it was alr 2-1 with brazil leading.. so i am watching the fourth set.. it is so cool to watch both teams play.. the speed.. the power.. the drama.. the rally between both teams.. 2 words.. world standard.. just now i watch live men's basketball usa vs. spain.. i support usa.. cuz of kobe bryant.. haha.. although i am not a basketball fan, didnt watch nba also.. but i did notice kobe bryant few years back.. so cool when he play.. haha.. in the end, usa won with 118-107.. woo.. really an exciting match with all the stealings, 3pt, etc.. i like it best when both teams fight it out for the rebounds.. so many actions.. haha.. so pity singapore didnt have a basketball team.. or else it will so shiok to watch singapore vs. usa.. will this day come? haha.. dont know.. but i guess that would take a few years.. haha.. so overall, this olympics is considered successful.. spore table tennis won silver.. tao li is world's number 5.. but there is some sad incidents too.. liu xiang withdraw from competition.. ronald susilo lost.. male table tennis lost.. i know one incident is without coach.. how could there be no coach by the player's side? i am so shocked when i read the news.. how could that happen in such an important competition? how could they let this kind of thing happen? without coach, the player will lose a sense of security.. without coach, the player lose some direction in the game.. i really do hope this kind of incident wont happen again.. this kind of thing is definitely a no-no.. so later on is the closing ceremony.. and that will mark the end of this beijing olympics.. let's look forward to 2012 london olympics.. =) |

although busy but still need to upload some photos and update a bit also.. more pile-ups as usual.. olympics is always on my to-do list.. haha.. no matter how much work i need to do, i make sure i watch some during the weekends.. cuz only weekends i can watch.. this is the restriction i made for myself.. actually weekdays also cannot see much.. haha.. feng tian wei lost to zhang yining (4-1).. before i went to shower, the score is still 1-1.. but it's ok.. feng tianwei fought hard.. well done!! in another match, li jiawei won (4-1).. also before i went to shower, the score is 3-0.. i thought the score will be 4-0.. but well, it's still a win.. her next opponent will be zhang yining.. haiz.. most likely will lose right? maybe fight for the silver ba.. haiz.. but going to face another china opponent again.. the 3 chinese (zhang yining, guo yue and wang nan) all entered to the semi-finals.. haiz.. means gold and silver sure china get de.. so we left bronze.. is it possible to get bronze? of cuz, i hope li jiawei can win zhang yining and singapore can get another silver medal.. but we must be realistic.. based on the match between china and singapore last sunday, it is very obvious that zhang yining's skills is on top of li jiawei's.. so we can only hope zhang yining will make more mistake and hopefully li jiawei can win.. haha.. what a nice picture it will be if li jiawei win zhang yining.. haha.. well, the results really doesnt matter as long as both players did their best.. so let's hope for the best!!
anyway, there's a celebration for the august birthday boys today.. we celebrated at the sakae sushi in school.. so cool.. we got the whole room to ourselves.. well, sort of a room la.. we got slippers to wear also.. haha.. so cute.. all frogs.. we had such a great time.. will post the photos after i get all of it.. some of the photos is super funny.. stay tuned!! |

i am getting tired le.. work starting to pile up and i don't know where to start clearing.. once i cleared some, new ones keep coming in.. am i trying not hard enough? i am already lacking sleep.. i think many people are like me lacking sleep.. how?? if i sleep, i can't finish all the work.. if i don't sleep, i think i sure can't finish all the work.. so how?? sleep or no sleep?? also, i realise my temper nowadays are getting worse.. hmm.. how to say leh? can't tolerate little things.. is the stress getting to me already? not so soon ba.. not even sept.. week 3 only.. sian.. how how how?? where should i start? who can tell me? a bit 力不从心 now.. hai.. |

WOOHOO!! A Silver Medal!! Yeah!! haha.. we won a silver medal finally, after 48 years.. do feel disappointed that we didnt won the gold medal but hey, they did their best and silver medal is the same.. so proud of them.. so proud of singapore.. yeah!! i'm a singaporean!! haha.. the china team is really too strong for the girls.. but they did their best and 坚持到最后.. we should be proud of them.. there are some discussions going on about saying the 3 girls (li jiawei, wang yue gu, feng tianwei) arent singapore-born but chin-born.. so what is the problem with them china-born? it isn't a problem regarding where they are born.. but where they are staying and who they are fighting for.. they are fighting for singapore.. they won the long-wait medal for all singaporeans.. can you do it? if not, then stop commenting abt them being china-born.. yes, they are china-born but they are SINGAPOREANS!! we should support them fully and not keep commenting about such tiny matters.. i regard them as our fellow singaporeans and i think all should too.. i guess the trend of 'importing' foreign athletes is due to reluctance of the natives to join a sports career.. this is the concern of many.. many think that sports cannot be a career and it will be a waste of time.. i hope this medal will show those people that sports can be a career and a successful one.. it is not that when you become a doctor, engineer or whatever, you are considered successful.. being successful is when you are doing something you like and achieving results at the same time.. results may not shown instantly but with hard work, i am sure it will come sooner or later.. so let's hope more singaporeans will take up the challenge and do singapore proud.. after this table tennis match, the badminton men's single gold medal match is followed.. lin dan (china) vs. lee chong wei (malaysia).. lin dan is really a formidable player.. he is controlling the whole match.. where the shuttle cock go and everything.. you can see lee chong wei is moving around the whole court.. if you have watched the match of susilo vs. lee chong wei and you think lee chong wei made the court looks small.. i tell you.. lin dan made the court looks even smaller.. omg.. he is really world number 1.. this is an undeniable fact.. woo.. a good match.. watched 2 world standard match made me feel very happy.. we are standing on the same ground as the chinese although still a long way to go.. but i think this is already quite a big achievements.. let's move on together to strive for better results.. yeah!! |

i am almost scared by the avg.. when the update starts on its own, it gives me a msg "A .bin file is missing." omg.. so i tried to repair.. when it didnt work, i uninstall and reinstall again.. but the problem still persists.. i am so worried.. i tot my com gg to die without any anti-virus.. den i go to the avg forum and then i realized actually a lot of people is having the same problem as me.. haha.. it is the problem on the avg side.. not that there's virus in my com or something wrong the avg installation.. haha.. so now i need to wait till the avg people solve this problem.. whew.. lucky it can be solved.. lucky lucky.. haha.. anyway, later is the match that every singaporean is waiting for.. the match against china.. to be realistic, the chance of winning is not that high.. but considering that they did won them in some occasions, we should still have some hope that they may still win china and get the gold medal.. but if they didnt succeed, it's ok also.. at least we got the silver medal.. we should just watch this match with a 平常心.. haha.. easier said than done.. of cuz i will still hope for a gold medal.. haha.. a medal in 48 years.. haha.. so silver or gold?? |

yeah!!! we won a medal after a long wait of 48 years!! WOOHOO!!! haha.. so happy.. rushed to cant a after lecture to catch the match.. and it is indeed the most exciting match i have ever watched.. imagine the whole canteen cheering together.. woo!! the atmosphere is right!! watching the match while eating my dinner.. omg.. it is really worth the watch.. the ladies did not let singaporeans down.. they did it!! they won the medal for singapore!! WOOHOO!!! haha.. so cool to watch a match with so many ppl.. all the anticipation.. woo!! so so so so so happy with Feng Tianwei score that match point.. the whole canteen cheered together.. WE WON!!! haha.. okok.. must cool down.. still got a match against china this sunday.. although the result is predictable, but i still want to watch an exciting match between us n the chinese.. to say the truth, it is alr chinese vs. chinese.. haha.. but anyway, they did us proud.. well done!! after this match, is 郭静's campus concert.. it is another exciting experience for me.. this is the 4th campus concert i have been to.. and i think also the most exciting one.. 郭静 actually wanted to shake hand with everyone present there.. i managed to shake her hands.. haha.. need to stretch out to shake her hands.. haha.. she is so 喘 that she can't sing song while going round shaking hands.. haha.. she's quite a cute girl.. the way she speaks, behave.. quite friendly.. haha.. overall, today is quite a good day for me.. watching the match and this campus concert although the lecture is a torture.. but anyway, i believe i will have a super nice sleep.. haha.. |

been really busy during this long weekend.. haha.. watch movie, watch olympics and go out with friend n family.. on the national day, i went to watch 钱不够用2 with my family.. not a bad movie.. both touching and funny.. the mother really acted very well.. so cute.. i would give it 4 stars out of 5.. den we had dinner at KFC and this means missing the national day parade.. this is the first time i didnt stick to the tv for national day parade.. and lucky i didnt, my friend said it is not nice.. haha.. we went to 歌台 after that.. but the sound system is so terrible that we left early.. the 歌台 is just below my house there only.. i can hear it from my house though the stage aren't facing us.. i heard 明珠姐妹's voice.. so they came.. haha.. wasted.. their voice is quite nice.. i think it is the sound system, so irritating.. it is like screaming into my ears.. can't stand it.. but anyway, i am watching dunno what match le.. i think is football.. or gymnastics.. hmm.. i think is gymnastics.. cuz i rmb i watched men's football: argentina vs. australia and china vs. belgium ytd.. and i also watched men's basketball: china vs. usa.. the match china vs. belgium is so irritating.. dun like that referee.. dunno from which country.. i don't think he is being fair to the china team.. just my opinion lah.. and the match china vs. usa is so interesting.. love the actions from the americans.. so cool.. yao ming also not bad lah.. the no. 9 from china also not bad.. at least i think he is the only one that 可以看.. haha.. know what i mean.. haha.. he shoot nice 3-point also.. cool.. got one from china i don't really like.. he is short, ugly (i think lah..) and can't score.. i think he only score 2 points ba.. haha.. okok.. i did filter by looks first.. haha.. and today morning i watched men's badmintion: Singapore (Ronald Susilo) vs. Malaysia (Lee Chong Wei).. finally i saw singapore flag.. haha.. although lost to lee but i think he has done well.. in the middle of this match, they brought in live woman's 100m breaststroke (swimming) where Tao Li is competing.. although she also lost the match, missed the change to win an olympics medal for singapore, but she is the first singaporean (PR more likely..) to be at that finals.. haha.. so i guess this is another achivement for singapore sports.. haha.. all these sounds like i am a sports reporter.. haha.. i gg slp now, gg to sch le.. hai.. have a lot of things haven done yet.. hai.. night lo.. |

the first day of school.. ok lah.. see all my friends again.. going to work hard together again.. anyway, i saw one member of '兔子' at cant a today.. if you watch superband den you shld noe who i am talking about.. i missed half of the superband today.. cuz i went to listen to '歌台' and it is quite nice although i dun understand what they are talking about in hokkien.. jack neo, mark lee, hui ge and one lady (dunno her name) performed also.. they are the special guest.. they also used the chance to promote their latest movie '钱不够用2' and i guess i want go catch this movie.. with my family ba.. i want to watch the '十二莲花' also.. i think it will be quite nice also.. maybe it wont be as nice as '881' but i think the storyline will be interesting and it is local based.. just the jack neo's movie.. i saw a lot of the residents around here went there specially to listen to the '歌台'.. haha.. my parents and i are one of them.. never see this scene in wlds before.. never listen to one while living in wlds for so long.. haha.. dunno why.. the culture here in jurong is quite different in wlds.. this is the difference between new and old estate.. haha.. alright, going sleep now.. still need to go to sch tml.. night.. |

today is the last day of this long holidays.. been through special sem, slacking days, oversea trip, camp and all the meet-ups with friends.. hmm.. will definitely miss the days in bangkok.. also miss the fun times during the meet-ups with friends.. i guess i wun be feeling so free for the next few months le.. really will miss this long holidays.. i had happy and sad times.. but i treasured the happy times.. i have never felt so free.. haha.. or am i just trying to make myself be free? the 'free' isnt about how much time i have but the state of my mind or heart.. i dunno how to say but.. sometimes i felt my emotions is having lots of ups-and-downs.. dunno dunno dunno.. but since today is the last day of my holidays i will enjoyed it to the fullest.. however, it is also coming to an end le.. just few more minutes now.. just a few more minutes and i am a year 3 student.. how time flies.. well.. a little update to my health.. i have recovered from my cough.. and also i went to timbre again on thur.. alright, i shall end here.. night.. |
